Harris-Crane is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Associate to join our team. In this role, the candidate will work closely with suppliers, partner carriers, internal team members, and other accounting functions to ensure accurate and timely financial processing. The ideal candidate is organized, collaborative, and committed to maintaining strong vendor and partner relationships.

This is an in-person position based in our Charlotte, NC office and will collaborate closely with colleagues across multiple locations.

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or master’s degree in an accounting related field.​​

Accounts Payable, Including Freight Processing

Knowledge of Basic Accounting Principles

Data Entry with High Level of Accuracy

Financial or Operational Reporting

Customer Service Experience (Non-Retail)

Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word) and experience with QuickBooks preferred

Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities with high accuracy

Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely

Organize and process freight invoices from multiple carriers

Research and resolve inquiries from vendor and trucking partners

Maintain strong relationships to ensure high satisfaction among customers, suppliers, and carriers

Support the accounting team with A/R, A/P, and G/L tasks, including month-end close activities
